A complete rebranding of the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Washington.
We created a new identity for the museum that would favor young adult audiences. A colorful revamp would help target our desired audience and give a better user experience through color coordination.

Process

Many attempts were made including the custom type that resembled glass and the box surrounding it. In the end, my design was chosen where all three letters were molded together to create a visually interesting piece with layers.
The logo and illustrations would be paired with the rest of the branding to make up a majority of the deliverables for the museum.
The logo was one of the most important aspects of the rebrand as it will go on every deliverable we design. MOG were the initials of the museum and they made a great starting point for the logo.
We wanted to connect the branding back to the museum through flowing and colorful designs just like the glass they display.
A group member (Krona) was in charge of designing the glass inspired illustrations that would be seen on many of the deliverables.
Finding the design solution, even with all the elements put together, had its trials and errors. An example would be the attempt at using our color scheme with gradients. It had visual interest, but it took away from the color coordination we were using to represent different attractions.
